1: Party Weekend / Joe King Carrasco & the Crowns (00:39)
- recorded off the board at Chilifest in Alpine, TX.
Party Weekend is one of Joe's signature songs. Every time we play it,
the audience blows the roof off of the joint.
2: Moby Dick solo excerpt (with bare hands on Vistalite Drums)/Custard
Pie A tribute to Led Zeppelin (01:32) - Having the chance to regularly
interpret
one of the most famous drum performances ever recorded was a wonderful
& enriching experience. Listening to Led Zeppelin always educated and
inspired me. Playing in a Led Zep tribute band helped me to bring my
playing to the next level. Thanks to our soundman, Todd Oakley, for
mixing a great board tape! Don't worry; I only took a segment of my
solo (lol).
3: The Ocean Live on KLBJ FM / Custard
Pie (00:59) - This is an excerpt of Custard Pie performing live
on the Dudley & Bob with Debra morning show. For space and volume reasons,
I used my fiber snare case as a bass drum and got a pretty good result.
4: Valley of the Kings/David Spann & Bounce (00:44) - This cut is
from a live radio broadcast of our concert at Cole Park in Corpus Christi,
Texas. My 1st true power trio.
5: Take With One Hand/Joe King Carrasco (00:38) - This is one
of Joe's most beautiful songs and a good example me singing while drumming.
I sing the cantor melody. This brash snippet was recorded live with
the stereo mic on a digital video camera.
6:By
Myself/Vox
Box
(01:03) - This excerpt from the CD "OPEN" displays
straight-forward drumming, at a laid back tempo. It also serves as a
good example of me singing harmonies. (Written by D.Gold;
Arrangement by D.Gold & K.Sharretts)
7: Old
Love/Vox
Box
(01:46) -
This
ballad has a Peter Gabriel/Manu Katche type of feel. It shows a whole
different side of my playing and is also a good
example of my falsetto. (Written by D.Gold;Arrangement
by D.Gold & K.Sharretts)
